Still sounds like a lotta grief for nothing.

I say; send the cash via Wells Fargo Express; and when it's in my grubby paws, I'll send you whatever you bought.

Isn't that easier and safer than going through all this 3rd party [no cash] fiascoism.

Just go down to your local WFE, and grab the bucks. Then send out the item in question.

If the dude doesn't trust the WF deal. Tough.

That's actually the way it's done here on the Forum. Trust. I'm witness to it. I've sold a couple of items here on the Forum; and sold them on trust (both me and the buyer)

Still, better for the seller to beware, than the buyer.

Even though WF is a 3rd party like PP; you get CASH from WF; with PP, you will get headaches, and then maybe, CASH.

I never thought of WF, don't know anything about it, but I'll look into it. Thanks. There's gotta be a better way to do business than with PP. The nearest WF is 30 miles from me.

Had a PayPal account many years ago, but cancelled it when it still was easy to do. Even on Ebay, I use a Post Office money order to pay for anything I buy. Most of the sellers don't seem to mind, and eBay doesn't seem to know the difference.

I've only had trouble with a eBay seller once or twice in the last five years. Sent a money order to the seller, and a month later, still haven't seen my item. So, I send him a registered letter (return receipt requested) telling him that his name and address, along with a copy of my cashed money order with his signature on it, have been sent to the US Postal Inspector in my town. The letter details how, by cashing my money order and not sending the item, he has committed mail fraud (a Federal crime), and that the Postal Inspector in his town will probably be contacting him. Well, he believed me, because I had my part in about a week.

I'm gonna give Google Checkout a try and see how that works out. Cheaper than PayPal. Which ain't your pal, it sucks.
