Chris w/Derailers
I went to a Derailers concert in Nashville NC last night and they were fantastic; Chris Schlotzhauer was their steel man and did a fantastic job. What a great show! and what a great group to have featuring the steel guitar; Chris got applause frequently after taking a break!! When was the last time you heard about that other than at a steel jam? The Derailers really show the steel off and ares super showmen, talented singers and musicians. I don't ever plan on missing them if they are back in the area.

Bowie---yup, omce you see the Derailers, you know you'll have to see them again. I have them both times that they have been in southern Calif the past few years. Each time, they had Marty Muse on steel. But you're right - whoever they have is always a great steel player who gets a lot of "quality time" on each song. Sure wish they were on the Opry more often.

Hey Bowie
I just got back in town. Thanks for your kind comments. That was my first time in N. Carolina, and I was totally blown away by the kindness and hospitallity we received. I was also impressed by the love and respect of real country music displayed. Thanks for coming back stage to look me up to say howdy. Always great to meet players on the road. Especially another Emmons man.
Hope to get back there soon.
Thanks again!

Chris, the pleasure was all mine, hearing you guys. Please keep me on your list and give me an e-mail whenever you are back in the NC area. In fact, tell Tony to give me a call if they are heading back this way - we have a convention center I am involved in in Wilson (just between the two gigs you played) that holds 1200 and we might be able to work in a tie in gig if you are scheduled back over this way. It was such a pleasure hearing such great music (featuring the steel), super showmanship, and strong vocals.
Keep up the good work...
