Ray Price
Just wanted to say that the show w/Ray Price,Jimmy Dickens, Jack Green and Jeanie Sealy, Gene Watson, in Raleigh NC..last night was a blast...With steel players like Doug Jernigan--sorry about the spelling--Danny Mohammod, and Gene Watson's steel man, who left before I got a chance to find out who he was...I was in heaven...COUNTRY LIVES..Ralph Emory as host...We don't get to see many shows of that caliber here in NC....

Sounds like one of many tours that Marty Martel puts together and books in different parts of the country from time to time .
I have asked Marty to come on down here in the Houston / Lufkin / Nacogdoches areas with this tour but so far , the tour has stayed pretty much in other states . I think the tour would draw some good crowds in the areas mentioned and I have offered to help Marty with some suggested spots but so far, it has not happened.
If any of you folks have some "pull" with Marty , maybe you could get more action than I for having the tour come this direction .
Having read Marty's write ups over the past year or more , I can almost guarentee the show is traditional country . I read where he has had John Hughey as the steel player on at least one of his tours so they can't be all bad.
You guys in driving distance of the above areas should try and contact Marty Martel and ask him to consider this area for one of his tours . I'll edit this after I look up his e-mail address and post it here in case you all think it would be a worth while endevor . I looked up his e-mail address and it is : martymartel@nashville.com
Give him a shout !!!
