Jerry Douglas on tour!!

Post by Gerald Menke »

I know this might seem better suited to the no-pedals section, but I was so impressed by Jerry's artistry last night I felt compelled recommend his show to you all. If he comes withing 50 miles of you, please go and see him, his playing is just not to be missed. Unbelievable articulation, tons of soul, melodic in a way few hot-shots can even dream of, great songwriting, gorgeous tone, and a band that will knock your hat in the creek!! I was on the fence about going, but man am I glad I did. Check it out I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Jerry played at the Old Town School of Folk Music (chicago) last June. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. He was amazing, had my jaw dropping from the first couple licks he ripped out as he walked onstage. His very able band did a stellar job backing him up. Bryon Sutton on guitar...dang!! That boy can play!

Definitely a must-see.

Yep, dang and all that. What they said above is all too true. Nothing short of amazing.
