You could go down to the main hotel where the convention was held.......and sample getting ignored by nearly everyone on the staff, passed by by utility workers, extremely high prices, trying to get the gal in the book store off the telephone long enough to assist you, riding the extremely slow elevators, trying to place luncheon orders with all of the foreigners serving in the restaurant on the mezanine level, and if that isn't an experience enough, you could try for a ride in from the airport to the hotel..........now that was an experience by itself. A great view of the arch and the escalators aren't half bad.

James---Of coarse the obvious is to stop by Scotty's Music and visit and they can direct you to happenings I would think--and watch out for those Cardinals --they're flying pretty high right now !!! Image

Check out Scotty's Music to find out where the hot steel players are playing. Also, if you like Jazz, there is a great guitar player
named Dave Black that you should check out. You might be able to find out where he is playing in the paper, he also plays a Sunday Brunch gig from 12pm to 2pm. Here is the info on it.
Cafe Madeline (Great Spread for under $15 bucks) at the Palm House in Tower
Grove Park - located at Magnolia and Tower Grove Ave just as you enter the
park near the big round fountain. Cafe Madeline is a Brunch-on-Sunday-only
cafe and reservations should be made by Saturday, the day before. For more
information or to make reservations, call (314)647-1590. Good Luck!
