Aussie Swing in St.Louis
What a band! The Feral Swing Katz from down
under was a no worries kind of show. This band was tight as, well you know what. The
Steel,guitar, bass,keyboards and drums were
exceptional. These guys do swing like it was
meant to be. Thanks to the cats and to Scotty for a very
entertaining show.
[This message was edited by Chuck McGill on 03 September 2002 at 09:22 AM.]

[This message was edited by Chuck McGill on 03 September 2002 at 03:39 PM.]

I had a wonderful time at the convention, seeing old friends, making a few new friends and most of all hearing lots of great players make really good music but without a doubt the high point of my weekend was from 1Am to 3Am Saturday morning listening to the "Katz" in the Jefferson room. I was really tired after the show on the main stage and almost passed it up but looked at the tunes on one of their CD's and decided to listen to a few songs--two hours later I was still there! They are all great players and their tune selection is right up my alley but beyond all that they are a great band ie: volume, dynamics, tuning, balance, arangements etc. were all superb. I hope they are able to find some success somehow, they will have to blaze their own trail as a sort of sophisticated Asleep at the Wheel and I wish them all the luck I can offer.
