I wanna thank "Jasaco" for lettin' me use one of his cords,in S.L.,as I ran short of one, with all the "junk" I had to wire up for my portion.
Lookin' forward to workin' w/ him, again,at the "Mash Bash",& I promise,I'll have enough cords to do my set. "Jimbeaux's" set was GREAT! I only wish I was as organized as he was. People think that I look like Groucho Marx. You should see the cover on his charts. It's HILARIOUS!!! Thanx Jim.
You'd die laffin'.

Mr. Cohen and Smiley BOTH were very impressive and were enjoyed by everyone! HOpe to hear MORE of both of them!
A musician can be great at his instrument and if he comes across as being personable, with a sense of humor and social off stage as well as on stage, he can become a star.
THere are one or two individuals however, that tend to display when off stage, what really self centered, conceited jerks they really are. How unfortunate for them.......

Thank you all for your kind comments. It was definitely a career highlight for me to play this show. I started playing steel in 1972 when I moved to St Louis to go to college and accidentally stumbled into Scotty's steel guitar studio. Scotty was my first teacher, so it's really a special thing for me to play on his show 30 years later!
My thanks go out to Scotty, Mary and the whole family, as well as the staff, sound crew, and others who helped to make this a fabulous weekend. Of course, anytime I get to play with guys like Rosetta, Caldwell and Brogdon is a good day in my book! They're just the bestest.
Hope to see some of ya at Mass Bash, Sept 29, and/or at Johnny D's in Boston on Sept 30.

Yes!
Jim, Your set came off without a hitch!
Besides the great steel playing and song selection, I was also watching and listening to the band, who were all intently focused on the charts you provided (which seemed to guide them all smoothly through you selected songs).
The set seemed to flow for everyone on stage, and sounded excellent out front.
That Fessy sounded sweet, and you played a few really fast phrases that really caught my attention.
Congrats on your accomplishment!
See you in Chattanooga!
Pete
