Buck Reid w/ Lyle

Post by Kevin Mincke »

A benefit to working as a police officer at the State Fair aka "The Great Minnesota Get Together" is once in awhile I'll drop by the grandstand area to catch part of a show. Last night I caught forumite Buck Reid w/Lyle Lovett sounding great! Bonnie Raitt wasn't too bad either Image

Hey Kevin, Buck is a monster player. When he is not out with Lyle he can sometimes be found down on broadway in Nashville playing in the clubs.
Last year when Jimmy Crawford went in the HOF, Jimmy, Russ Hicks, and Bucky did a set at the convention, They let Buck take the leads and he blew everbody in the house away. He is a well kept secret that more players need to know about.

I agree, I saw Buck in Holmdel, NJ a few weeks back. What a great show, we were too far back to really watch Buck play, but he was up in the mix. A friend of mine said the sound man for Lyle was excellent, where as Bonnie Raitt's sound was very poor.

I didn't realize Buck hails from Schenectady, NY, not far from Cindy Cashdollars roots, not to mention 'Footch' also! Image
