looking for guidance in los angeles

hi everybody, my name is jordan. i've been playing the steel for a few months now, and have got to the point where i play it live with my band(i play lead guitar also), and have done a little recording. every time i sit down with my steel i figure out something new, but have a hard time figuring out the theory behind what i'm doing, or if i'm doing things the hard way.i'm not getting any younger and would'nt mind a push in the right direction to help accelerate my learning process. is there any one here in los angeles willing to show me a thing or two about this insturment?
by the way, i just want to say that i bought my sho bud pro 1 from Duane Dunard at Duanes music.anybody looking for an honest business man selling quality insturments at reasonable prices.....throw" duanes music" in a search engine. it's just nice to find a guitar store where i feel good after buying something.(as opposed to feeling ripped off and discarded after a sale). thanks again Duane!
so there's my first post on the s.g.f. i've had a great time reading other peoples posts and figured it was about time to start a thread, or at least just make contact with some other steelers.
