An Apology
I just want to apologize to Carl Dixon for any discomfort my recent actions may have caused him. There was a misunderstanding, largely because I didn't really explain things very well.
For reasons of my own, I can't accept the gifts that Carl was soliciting on my behalf. I also can't, at this time, commit to being able to go to the PSGA show. There are other demands on my time that must be resolved first. It's not about cost - it's about the priorities in my life.
I'm sorry, Carl, that I didn't explain it better in the topic that I closed.
The best gift in the world, to me, was the recent outpouring of financial support for the Forum. I was overwhelmed and am very grateful. Thank you all for that great response. It's more than I ever imagined.
Now, everyone, let's take a moment to help a fellow steeler in need. Please send a donation to help with Jim Murphy's medical expenses to:

bOb, I don't know how well off you are, I suspect like the rest of us, you could rob the cookie jar and go to a show or two. And Carl, what a gesture of friendship, to want to send ol' bOb to St. Louis, or wherever. But when this thread, someone(Ithink it was Harry Hess)was announcing donations to a great jazz guitarist, who needed some help. Now, I don't want to offend anybody(God forbid!), but I think this is a better way to use our donations. Us musicians need to help one another when we're down, that's what Christian love is all about, right? So, thank you bOb, Carl, and Harry, for setting an example. AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
