Best Musical Week Ever

Post by Richard Gonzales »

I was so fortunate to spend last week taking
lessons from Maurice Anderson and then some.
This was the first time I met Reece and I did not know what to expect from this killer player, I was nervous to say the least!!

I found him to be so understanding, patient
and full of knowledge that he is willing to share with anyone. The lessons did not go as I expected, what he really was teaching me, was the THEORY of PEDAL STEEL GUITAR. For those of you that know what I am talking about, great! Those of you that have no clue,
find a teacher that can explain the theory to
you and you will continue to improve year after year and really appreciate the versatility of this wonderful instrument.

I was Reece's guest at Billy Bobs in Fortworth as Reece and his band The Country Connection knocked them dead, what a team of musicians he has put together. His wife Teresa brought tears as she sang Unchained Melody, what a beautiful voice!

Friday and Saturday night was at Johnny High's theater in Arlington, Texas. The first
half featured 16 yr and under performers and I was in awe what those kids could do, Singers,Fiddelers, Yodelers and etc.
LeeAnn Rimes was discovered at Johny Highs theater. Johnny's theater was Voted the best country western show in America the last four years. so If your down that way, stop in and hear Reece and the band, guaranteed you will not be dissappointed!

I want to thank Reece and Teresa for the most hospital and musical week ever, it is a pleasure and a honor to have friends like you!!!
