Bobby Black on the Lost Weekend CD
I recently bought a CD titled "Harbor Lights and Cowboy Blues" by Lost Weekend, a swing band from California. The whole cd is a real pleasure to listen with its list of standards. What really stands out for me is Bobby Black's steel. I especially enjoy listening to "Harbor Lights" which features Bobby. Bobby's voicing of that number keeps going through my head. I want to learn it and add it to my music. I recommend this cd to anyone who appreciates swing and to anyone who enjoys steel playing at its best.
