I just had my Sunday Morning blown wide open while listening to LIVE AT THE 2ND ANNUAL SACRED STEEL CONVENTION (on Arhoolie records- not sure if it's out yet-mine's a promo copy.)
Some stunning stuff here; chills, tears , pure joy...An amazing medley by Reggie"Footie" Covington on lap steel; Dan Tyack digging a deep well on "Amazing Grace" on pedal steel; lot's more.
I really recommend this one when you come across it!!!

Wow! is a pretty good way to describe it, Kevin. I've been wearing out my copy since Bob Stone passed it on to me at this year's convention in Orlando a few weeks ago. It's an utterly stunning album start to finish, perhaps my favorite of the Sacred Steel series. It's listed on the Arhoolie site, so I assume it's available now. I'd gladly pay full price for this CD just for the sake of Elton Noble's "Then Comes Joy," "Footie's Medley" by Footie Covington, "He's Sweet, I Know" by the Campbell Brothers or any of a half dozen other tracks.
