I've been scammed
I ordered a case for my guitar and sent a check for the full purchace price. I was promised the case in three weeks. It has been over three months and i havent received my case . I have finally requested my money back two diffrent times, and havent received it back either. If any one is in the market for a case, email me and I will tell you who NOT to order one from.

I would like to mention that I had the same problem last year. As a last resort, I posted my problem here. I know what you are going thru Hap. A lot of things go thru your mind before hitting that Submit Reply button. The last thing you want to do is to drag someone thru the mud, but sometimes there is no other choice. You have done business in good faith and received NOTHING in return. My problem was resolved soon after my post. The internet has the power to keep people honest. Don't forget that.

Thanks for the post.
Several weeks ago, I had tentatively placed an order for a unique custom case from someone I heard about here on the Forum. Since I'm not anxious to find myself in the same awkward position that you have found yourself in, I have now decided NOT to order the case from whomever.
I don't need to be screwed over.....to be happy.

Hap---You are wrong!!! This person is no "GENTLEMAN" he is a jerk . You owe it to yourself, your fellow forumites, and the rest of the world to let let us know who this is. How do you think I would feel towards you if I got scammed by the same one just because you didn't let me know who it was. Come on Hap, do the right thing!

Ray, if you need a case and want the best possible quality from a guy you can count on to always do the right thing, Bob Dell is one such person. Anyone having any dealings with Bob has nothing to worry about. His products are flawless and meticulously done,
prices are fair and he will go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied. I have seen other buiders of cases, racks etc. on the Forum and I am sure there are some other good ones besides Bob, but none better. It was a simple matter to read the buy and sell and determine who this thread is about. I am very surprised by it. I too, feel there has got to be some reasonable explanation
because it just don't make sense to me.

Hap, sorry to hear of your problem.
I'm with Sonny on this one. Surely there must be some logical explanation as to why the case or refund hasn't been taken care of already. I've spoken with this person numerous times on the other computer, and he's always come across as a real standup kinda guy.
Anyway, I hope the issue is resolved soon, to everyone's satisfaction.

Hap,
Sorry to hear of your difficulty. I think that you should first determine that the vender is not having health problems. If he is, cut the guy slack.
If not, I agree with everybody else..... you should expose any rip off artist. Your fellow steeler's will appreciate the "heads up".
But this is a very grey area. Be damn sure before dragging somebody through the mud via the internet.
Regards,
HH

I too was scammed about twenty years ago. I sent money up front for a new steel and got nothing for my money. The person who did this is well known to this forum and at this time is starting up to produce steels again. "The Legand Returns" so sez this person. Where is my steel I say. Don't trust anyone no matter much they appear to be honest and especially don't trust anyone who is the soul of piousness and calls on God from the rooftops.
But as P. T. Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute". I know because I was one.

Hap, sorry about your dilema. There were some of us burned on the amp covers etc. a couple years ago. The sob in New Mexico. I also know of a PSG builder who got in a little finacial trouble about 15 or so years ago and borrowed 5,000 from another steel builder and never did pay it back. You never know. I did however learn my lesson. Jim I'D RATHER BE STEELIN'

In retrospect to the feelings of this thread, I feel I must defend the person in question. First, he isn't a crook nor is he out to stiff anyone. He's just slow as smoke off sh!t. I know as I have ordered two separate rack cases off him at two different times and was some time getting them (over two months on each one) BUT I did get them and was proud of the finished product in both. There is merit to what Quesney says but not in this case. I make this statement as I deal with more preachers in one year than most all of you do in a lifetime so don't try and argue this issue with me and before anyone tries to cast doubt on my soul, I'm a Christian but I keep it to myself. Hap, I would be more than happy to mediate this problem and do my best to come up with an amicable solution for you. I say this as I feel that the party in question has never had any illicit intentions other than just being slow.
As for anyone getting stiffed by someone on the forum, I am and will remain the first to say EXPOSE the person but first make sure that is the case as Harry Hess referred to in his post.

Reggie Duncan, Good lesson, wise thought and good wisdom and you were, and you have been, proven correct many times, on this forum and in life in general. Geez! You guys are on top of it, I'm just a little off to the side. But I'm tryin'.
