I believe he lives in Chillicothe, Ohio and plays occasional gigs in that area. Someone who used to participate in the Forum knew him -- maybe someone else knows him.

Jerry Brightman????? you out there dude?

I asked the same thing a while back. It was answered that he does indeed live in Ohio and supposedly is still tearing it up on his old Sho-Bud at the occasional gig.

John Call and Rusty Young and of course Bobby Black had the most influence on me
wanting to learn the pedal steel. That free
spirit playing with the west coast bounce
always left a smile on my face.

It is no secret that John David Call is one of my primary influences on the steel. His melodic work on the mid PPL albums (not yet CD's) was so refreshing - wish he was doing more that we could hear~~
