Subject: STEEL GUITAR POSITION

Hello,
I am Chief Musician John Emrich with the U.S. Navy Band in Washington DC.
The Navy Band is a premiere musical organization located in Washington DC.
We feature a Country Band that is in need of a Steel Guitar instrumentalist.

You can read about this band on line at Navyband.navy.mil. The name of the group is the "Country Current". This is an outstanding opportunity for employment, if you could help us to spread the word. Questions can be directed to Master Chief Musician Diana Ogilvie at (202) 433 - 2840.

You can also reach her as the Audition Supervisor at our web site.

Thanks

Chief Musician John Emrich

Hi John nice to hear from you. I seen you and the band a couple years ago when you played at CCRI in Rhode Island and I talked to you and Dave Sutton. He was a great little steel player. He was going to come to my Rhode Island Steel Guitar Jamboree a couple of years ago but I never heard from him.My name is Sam White and I'm President of the R.I. Steel Guitar Association.I now live in Raleigh/Willow Springs N.C.Area.I hope you can get a good Steel player as your band is Awsome.

I saw these guys on Saturday (and suggested that they post a "Help Wanted" here, as they did). They are awesome! It's a great opportunity for anyone who wants a steady gig with all equipment supplied and a bunch of first class pickers to work with.

You do have to join the Navy, which requires meeting their physical and grooming qualifications, though, so no beards or long hair are allowed. Image

It's the ideal gig for some young person who wants to hone their skills with some of the best and get a great resume.
