Chicken Bones Between Strings

Post by Dave Ristrim »

Along the same lines as the "What would you do if..." thread. I played an outdoor BBQ in the hot sun once. To keep my steel cool, I put a towel over the top. When I came back to play the next set, I removed the towel and found that someone had stuck chicken bones between all my strings. I'm talking 25 or 30 little greasy bones! I'm pretty sure I knew who did it, as I had been sabotaging the drum kit at the time. Another time, on break, the drummer had tuned each of my strings either up or down in an alternated pattern. That was fun too. Oh the fun you can have....

Hey Dave, I just wanted to let you (and everybody else know) I think your version of the Stevie Wonder/Jeff Beck tune on your Crisis at the Theme park CD is one of the coolest things I've ever heard played on a steel.
