Buzz Evans Still Picken Well in Vegas

Post by Bill Taft »

I went to Vegas from 3-3 to 3-6 and got on the forum trying to find some steelers to listen to while I was there. I tried to reach Buzz several times and just couldnt find him, so I left a message on his home voice mail and told him if he got in before the &th to call the Flamingo and ask for my room. I got to my room tuesday at 6PM and I had a message on the line so I pushed the red button and it was Buzz saying he just got back in town after being on the road for a month, and at &PM that same evening he would be playing at Gilleys, so it's no guess what I did that night I cleaned up went to Gilleys and meet Buzz at about 6:45 and we sit and talked until close to 7 and he departed to the stage to do his thing.
What a player this guy is, sure glad he made time to call me cause I always try to catch him when I'm there, and it sure was worth it I believe him to be one of the finest steel players out there with a style that is his own not anyone else's he plays his way and if you ever really sit down and listen close to him I believe you would agree his playing is super and so is his singing and 6 string guitar playing he has it down.
So if you have to go to Vegas for business like me or just pleasure give Buzz a call and try to catch him, if he's not on the road chances are he'll be picken somewhere close and you can get away from the slots and go have some real entertainment.
Made My Vegas Trip Worth The Trip!!!!!

There aren't very many players around better than Buzz. He's always ready to talk and make you feel at home as well. For some great stuff to ahve around the house, check out the 2 CD's he has on Dr Yakes' label-one is steel and one is guitar-which he has also mastered. Ungodly stuff. You haven't lived till you've heard him play the Pink Panther.
