Question for Bobbe Seymour

Post by Ted Nesbitt »

Recently I bought a Sho-Bud LDG (SP) The guitar looks like any LDG that I have seen, except, it was Two-Tone (natural top and green front and rear) Would the "SP" relate to the Two-Tone finish, or is there something else I dident see. Interested in hearing your comments.

Yeah Ted, that SP stands for "special paint". One of Shot's little extra added touches. Image

Ted, This guitar sounds like one I may have refinished as I have done several this way. The letters "SP" stands for "Special Production" . I also use this decal when I refinish or restore _LDG Sho-Buds. I also have been installing gold Grover Imperial tuning keys on several of them. Your guitar may possibly have been a custom order as a very few of those were built also.

About 1974 Shot built me a LDG that was charcoal gray. I think maybe Herbie R. sold that for me...I'm not sure. regards, fred
