Unless something has happened that I'm unaware of, Sonny is still cutting records with major artists including, Clay Walker and Tracy Byrd.

Sonny was doing some of Gene Watson's recordings until I started doing them in the early 80s. He's a great person and player. "Wandering Eyes" by Ronny McDowell had one of the most innovative steel rides of the 80s. Great stuff.

Dale welcome to the foum, keep posting. Dale is a great great player from the great northwest. We worked in a band once, I played very bad lead guitar and sang and fronted the band. It is easy when you play with great players like Dale. I also did the same thing with the late Danny Shields, it doesn't get much better than these two.

Dale,
Sonny phoned me just this week to book me for an up-coming session this month. He is doing fine and is still working a bunch.
