Does the name "SLIM SWIFT" mean anything to you steel pickers?

It was associated with a lil' Rick Bakelite
several decades back......that turned up in a hock shoppe.

Just wondered if the guy ran out of funds and enthusiasm at the same time; or, if he just gave up wanting to be a great steel guitarist like many of you; or, was his Rick stolen and hocked by some thief or WHAT?

"SLIM SWIFT" is the pickers name. Is he dead or alive? He lived down south....out of the Nashville area.

Not too long ago, a half dozen or so of your historians were talking about "SLIM IDAHO" or something like that.
Well now, wouldn't it seem likely these same historians should have heard of "Slim
Swift"........sometime during their lives?
Just want some history here guys. HELP!
