decoders

Post by Anders Brundell »

When I tried to install downloaded decoder programs from http://www.mthreedev.com/ on my new pc the anti-virus program got bananas and warned for viruses as soon as I tried to run the files, so I aborted the installations. I had these decoders on my previous pc without any problems. Does anyone know if these decoders have been "improved" with spyware or something, or what could be the problem?
Do I dare to install them anyway, or does someone know any other free mp3 to wav and wav to mp3 decoders on the web?

Also; does anyone know any free wav recording and editing program accessable on the web?
[This message was edited by Anders Brundell on 10 November 2005 at 07:48 AM.]

A great little wav recorder and editor is Audacity. It is simple, powerful, free and has versions for Windows, Mac, and Unix.

Thanks a lot!
I've installed it and am trying to learn. However I'm way above 25 years old, so data takes an awful time to learn.
The digital world is even harder than the analogue, ain't it, even though it doesn't cause any visible bruises.
