Relaxin author?
Anyone know who wrote Relaxin'? Was it Hank Garland?
Searches bring up all kinds of things I know are not the tune I am thinking of. Thanks!

Ah, that's the name to that melody.
People call tunes on a gig and you try to remember the melodies you like, and at the end of the gig you ask the name of the tune the guy called, and he goes "Which one? I don't remember." lol.
That's a great tune. Love it.

Knowing which songs will usually go over well musically, and that the audience will also like is definitely an art.
You don't want to be calling Seven Steps to Heaven or Joshua on a society gig with a bunch of guys you just met, lol.
People do it though, and that's how they lose gigs.
Aloha,
Mike K

Yes it's exactly the same performance that Bill posted, but his features the original cover

Here's Brother Jerry Gleason doing an excellent version of it, both musically and video wise. Hope you enjoy it!
This could have been where I first heard it. Everything gets jumbled in the recesses of my mind. lol.
