Looking for Sho-Bud repair/overhaul person in Austin, TX

Post by John Bode »

Hello friends,
My good friend and long time bandmate (over 45 years) passed away last week. He was active on these boards and I'll post an obit when his son can access his computer and figure out his username.
Anyway, he had this old Sho-Bud that he was planning to ship to Austin to have repairs. I'm pretty sure it needed a thorough overhaul. It's been a long time since I've seen it, so I can't remember the details - he's been playing Mullen for some years now.
If you have any idea who this repairman was, could you kindly post that information below? If you think it could have been you, please reach out - Matt was from Kansas. He'd been in contact with someone about this, I just don't know who. His son and I would like to make sure the guitar is done right.
Thanks!

Probably Ricky Davis would know. He's pretty much known as the Sho~Bud guru around here with the pre SP models his specialty.

There were a couple guys who performed what you're describing but I'm not sure where they were located.

Thanks Ricky,
He may well have called. He was talking about shipping it to you but then he became ill and spent the next several months with everything on hold. He was more of a phone call guy than an email guy, so..
I'll pass your info along.
