How to store a steel

Post by Jeff Savage »

Hi, I hope it's ok to ask this here. can someone tell me if it would hurt a steel to store it standing up on end? I have 2 steels and won't be using either of them for quite awhile. I am going to put some kind of cushion in the case under the end that will be on the floor but just thought I would ask before I did ithis. I have very limited space to store them but don't want to do any damage tp them either. Thanks in advance, all info will be greatly appreciated...Jeff Savage

Sure, no problem. That's the way Mr. Stepp stored his ready built guitars in his show room.

I personally prefer to put the changer end on the floor to eliminate weight on the rest of the guitar plus more stack stable that way.
