LeGrande Help

Post by James R Foster »

Hi Folks,

Finally got my Legrande. Yay!!! It came with really short pedal rods, strange string gauges, and pull rods that don't seem to match the factory setup. So, it's defininitly seen some changes.

I found a pull Rod Chart for an Emmons Standard LeGrande 4-Hole here on the forum. I'm pretty sure it's the correct chart for my guitar but I would like to get some confirmation.

Does anyone have a LeGrande with more or less stock rod positions?? If so, a picture of the changer from the outside would be really helpful. If that matches the chart then I'll assume the bellcrank positions on the chart match too and I'll be able to put her back to her factory set up.

For clarification, the sticker says LeGrande. It doesn't say Ashley LeGrande, I, II or III. Serial number in the low 400Ls.

Thanks to all!

I want to thank Wayne for his help with the rod chart for the Legrande. It is the one that is found here on the board but, he also had a chart showing the rod positions in the changer. Unfortunately, it didn't match the rod chart and it's 3 up, 3 down. Also, I finally noticed at the bottom of the rod chart is a 9/01 copyright from Emmons at the bottom of the page. Why does it take me so long to realize these things???

So,.......I'm back to square one.

If anyone has a picture of an early Legrande's changer showing the rod positions, or could annotate them for me I would be eternally grateful. Here's a blank chart I modified to match the 3 up, 2 down changer.
