Who's the picker?
The season 2 finale of HBOs The Righteous Gemstones features a cover of Don Williams "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend". There's some real nice pickin' front and center in it. Anyone know who played on the cover?

"Some Broken Hearts Never Mend."
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; praise is meet for the upright. Give praise to the Lord with the harp, chant unto Him with the ten-stringed psaltery. Sing unto Him a new song, chant well unto Him with jubilation. For the word of the Lord is true, and all His works are in faithfulness. The Lord loveth mercy and judgement; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

Well Joseph Stephens is the Producer and multi-instrumentalist and he could possibly be the steel player on the "soundtrack". It's what I do for Graham Reynolds as the pedal steel is the only instrument he doesn't play on his Soundtracks; so if you see a movie with soundtrack by Graham Reynolds; that is ME on the steel guitar..ah..ha....and many times the instrumentalists are not named unless they compose some of the sound for the track; so you will never know who it is on Joseph's movie, unless you ask him or the actual steel guitarists speaks up.

No steel guitar, but here's a worthy and recent version of this song by my friend Brad Heck.
Enjoy.
