Two short interviews with Tom Brumley, 2016

In the first five minutes, Stan has Tom Brumley tell the story of joining the Buck Owens band and finding that the steel that Buck had for him was unplayable.
I’ve heard several second-hand versions of this story, but never directly from Tom, who tells it quite candidly.
Then, at Stan’s request, he plays his iconic solo for “Together Again”.

Tom talks about playing with Rick Nelson, and plays a solo on “I’ll Fly Away”, written by his dad, Albert Brumley.

Love those story-telling settings and the first-hand insight they provide! :D

Just a little note - recording date must have been way earlier as Tom passed away in 2009.

Kind Regards, Walter
