Goodrich Super Bro 2 (II)
Was this the last and best sounding unit that they made?

Bob,
My 2 cents- I have both the Matchbro I and II, and to my ears, model I sounds better, but you can't bypass the buffer (Matchbox) when the reso effect is off. Both sound more realistic to me than any other units out there (although Tom Bradshaw's units are very close and way more versatile).
Your mileage may vary.

You have the "Super Bro II" version? Not sure if there was 2 version of the original gray box.
