Boss Katana---Possible feature expansion via Sneaky Amp

Post by Marty Broussard »

I couldn't sleep so I decided to read as much as I could about the Boss Katana products and came across the article in the link below.

Disclaimer: I don't know if you should go down this path. If you do go at your own gain/peril....lol.

It would be cool to hear if any of you have tried this already.

Marty,
There is a lot of posts on the forum for this amp.

Steel Guitars of Nashville had me do a teach-in video on the Katana. I'll have to look for it.

Marty,
This is from several years ago. It was the first time I played the Katana out.

If I had to do it over again, I would have added more sparkle with more highs and wet it more with reverb adjusted up.

Hi Ron, I saw one of those vids last night. Obviously folks are getting good tones with the amp as a stock unit.

Marty, I have the Katana 100 and following Ron's lead using the acoustic setting get a great tone. I did buy the Katana Library app from Eaton to tweak the mids. It allows many functions including a parametric eq which sweetened the tones. You can do the same with the Boss Tone studio on your PC, but I prefer the android app and my tablet.
