These are not the Peavey Nashville 112 cabinets that he used, but the results are very similar if not the same. These are the early edition 1203-4 paper and 1201-8 flat mag Spider Web paper pre-kevlar cone 12 in. speakers.
I used these over the weekend at a friend's outdoor gathering playing on a flatbed for about 100 or 150 people, maybe more.
These things still have it. I wasn't able to use my MosValve head due to the instability of the trailer bed shaking so bad that it crashed the reverb springs constantly, lucky enough, I had the MV500/Roland GP100 digital rig in reserve so I resorted to that.
These are cabinets I designed and built for multiple angle placement. Closed back fiber filled with 2 front ports. I lost the pics from the event I guess, but this is another pic of them.
I guess all those new neo and boutique speakers are just fine, but I can't see dumping my old BWs for them. They've been doing it for 30 and 40+ years without a whimper....both necks. Nothing lacking on the bottom end either.
