Echo Plex EP-2 tube echo rebuild
Got this as a donation from an old friend on the Forum. It was total non functioning. A lot of old rust and dirt and bad components. Some things I did:
-New four section filter can
-Replaces power transformer, had wrong one it. Was running about 575 volt secondary with center tap. Replaced with a 250 volt secondary and center tap
- replace almost every resistor and cap
-new fuse folder
-new audio out cable
-rewound one of the three tape cartridges with new tape from Echo Fix in Australia. Also from them new belt, pinch roller
-new knobs
-replaced echo volume pot, was frozen
-replaced all input jacks, new neon record lamp
-new grounded power cord
-new grounded AC power cord
-custom graphics overlay as all were unreadable, done by a great and talented friend
-6Eu7 tube
-motor mounts from Canada
Got burned on the freight from Canada. Let them use my FedEx account number. One pound was $106.00
