DeArmond 610 mods?
Folks
I have one of the old DeArmond 610 tone/vol pedals but the tone does not seem to roll off as low as I want it,,, to me it sounds like it's not rolling the pot all the way in order to drain off enough high freq content. Would a cap change or adjustment to the pot/gear linkage help? Existing tone cap looks to be original .047 uF
Thanks!
Scott
Sample found on Reverb,, this is not mine by the way.

I see two caps on the tone control, and it's possible that the smaller disc one is a "treble bleed" cap. If there's one on your pedal, try unhooking one lead of that one, or just removing it entirely, and see if that makes a difference.
Also, make sure the tone control shaft is actually turning, as a broken tooth will stop it from working.
