Webb Amp Mods

Post by Ron Forrest »

Does anyone do mods to Webb Amps or know of anyone that sells DYI kits? I'd love to put an effects loop in my Webb 6-14 if possible.

Thanks

Ron

Following... I think the last run of Webbs put out by Tom Bradshaw did have an FX loop, and other innovations. Only 20 were made, never see them for sale. My 1976 Webb is still going strong, killer tone.

John,

I talked to Tom and am going to purchase the schematics from him. I don't think it shouldn't be two hard to get an Effects Loop in the amp. I seen older schematics on the web and it looks the EQ switch is dead in the middle of the pre and power amp section so there is a possibility that it could go there. I'll wait until i get the schematics so i'm looking at the correct diagrams before opening this amp up!

You are correct it is a great amp!!
