Questions On Locations of Famous Steel Guitars

Post by John Herb »

I had a few questions on where a couple steel guitar whereabouts are so I figured I'd put them all in one post. Does anyone know the location of the following steel guitars?

•Don Helms Gibson Console Grande

•The Slowly Bigsby

•The Sho Bud modified Bigsby that Lloyd Green got his recording career started on

My brother spotted Don’s Console Grande the weekend of November 10th at the Patsy Cline museum in Nashville.

I think the Lloyd Green Bigsby (originally Johnny Sibert/Sonny Burnette) is in good hands in the Pacific Northwest.

I saw an allegation that the Bud Isaacs guitar sold for 75,000 on an unknown date.

I have no idea if that is true, but if it is, that would point to it being in a big-time collector's hands.
