Getting there.

Post by Jerry Dragon »

Been awhile now, but I am finally getting better. This is not an instrument, it is a contraption. At least people are not running away anymore. The family is either lying to me to make me feel better or I am getting better, hard to tell. At 67 years old I know I will never have enough time to get as good as I am on guitar.

Take your time and have fun with it. Your at the age where you can lay back, take it easy and have fun with it. Almost 40 years here with it. I am 66. My first 5 years was a challenge, but fun!!!!

I faced the possibility of execution my first couple of years but things got a lot better over the next 40 years. Keep it up , it will be worth it all.

I started six years ago at age 62 with no idea how far I could get. I have kept it simple and just tried to be stylish, and the band I play in like what I'm doing so I'm happy. Jerry's right about the contraption - my colleagues have no clue how any of it's done and I enjoy keeping it mysterious :)

I'm not sure how much further I can progress in the time I have left, but there's no pressure so I can just carry on having fun!

I can actually jam along now. It makes it easier when you have written your own tunes for fifty five years, you know them pretty well by now. Sometimes I forget the lyrics lol.

At least I wasn't thrown off stage here. Good thing I was among friends, it wasn't that pretty.

I've never had anyone throw tomatoes at me yet.

(the secret is only playing when tomatoes are not in season!)
Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun.
