Moe Bandy

Post by Bill Groner »

Does anyone know who the steel player was in Moe Bandy's band back in the 70'/80's? I've been a fan of his for a long time and since I started to learn to play non pedal steel I have a better appreciation for whoever that guy is???
Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, 1953 Alamo Lap steel, (a gift from the late Stu Schulman) Recording King Phil Leadbetter Dobro, Roland Cube, Roland Mobile Cube, Fender Champion 40

Tommy Moran played with Moe a lot in the 1970's and early 80"s. He was from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Helluva nice guy and an excellent picker.
Melbert 8, Remington S8, Silk 6 string, Rick B6, Tremblay 6 lap steel, Marlen S-10 4&4, Prestige Guild M75 and Artist Award, Benedetto Bravo, Epiphone Century Electar (the real one) and a bunch of old lap steels.... mostly Ricks and Magnatones'

Tommy Datamore also played with Moe. I believe Moe lived in the San Antonio area at one time.
