Dayton musician?

Post by Eddie Freeman »

Any one remember a singer from the Dayton Ohio area by the name of Tommy Dee? That was his show name , real name was Tommy Davenport. I played guitar for him back in the 70's, heard he moved to Tampa area in Florida some time in the late 70's or early 80's.

Think he must be in late 70's at least by now. He was all country and did a lot of Marty Robbins music.
As a side note, While playing around Dayton area I think I heard more great girl singers from this area than anywhere else at the time. I think Tommy had a lady friend whose name I think was Marty Sheara(spelling?).
