The Western Swing Authority 'Big Deal'

Post by b0b »

I just got The Western Swing Authority's new CD "Big Deal". Great album with lots of guest stars. The icing on the cake is the title track, an instrumental penned by our own Ed Ringwald (a.k.a. Pee Wee Charles) featuring guest artists Buddy Spicher and Bruce Bouton.

If you've never heard Ed play, watch out. His solos on this record will knock your socks off! All of the songs are very tightly arranged, big band style. I had to count heads on the picture to make sure there were only 7 people in the band.

Highly recommended. :D

These are not only talented musicians, but they really put out some very tasteful arrangements. Stacey Lee Guse can be rated with the best of the girl singers anywhere. IMHO

It was fun listening to all of the artists on the ballot. Who says country music is dead! The nominee with a steel guitar always got my vote. :)

Note that steel guitarist Rose Sinclair is nominated in the "Ameripolitan Musician" category. Vote!
