Gil Michael, long time member of Bill Black Combo, steel guitarist, mandolin and fiddle. Passed on August 21. You'll be missed Gil. God be with you and yours.

That is so sad to hear Tom, Gil was a great person, photographer, and musician.

Sorry to hear this. I used to see him with the Bill Black Combo at local clubs when I was in dental school in Memphis in the 70's. I had wondered over the years if he was still around there.
