If Billy Sherrill produced it Pete Drake played steel on it. That's how much Billy thought of Pete's playing. I have to agree with Billy. Pete's signature licks put a stamp on all records that set it apart from all the rest.

Just FYI for those who haven't seen it:

I still have my extensive listing of "Who Played On..." accessible through the Lloyd Green-Tribute website.

http://www.lloydgreentribute.com/Austri ... foNews.htm

This page contains alphabetical listings of songs, the singer and the steel player. Many of the songs are hyperlinked, so you can click on it and go to the YouTube page with that song (apologies if some of the links are dead, this is mostly because the YT track was removed.

Kind Regards, Walter

Divorce is the oddball one. The other oddball is Pete Drake playing steel on Lynn Anderson's Rosegarden after Lloyd had played steel on most of her previous albums.

Lloyd did a few more songs:
D-I-V-O-R-C-E
Crying Steel Guitar
Satin Sheets
Gentle On My Mind
All Night Long
Kiss Away
Most of the rest was Pete Drake.

Me and my friend Sandy Dean recorded a Tammy Wynette song for an album we did of old classic country about 10 years ago. Sandy sang it and I played all the instruments. Recorded in my home studio. You can follow my YouTube link for more of our work.
