Sammy Kershaw Steel Player?

Post by Nicholas Scott »

My band is opening for Sammy when he comes into town in October. Anybody know if he is touring with a steel player and if so, who it is?

Thanks!

Sammy's drummer is a close friend of mine. His name is Eddie Bonin so if you get to meet him, you will know his name. Tell him hey, I haven't seen him in a while.

Thanks Paul.

Well I'll have to introduce myself Dale. I'll pass on the message.

Jim Gairrett is from Billings, Montana, and had worked with Sammy Kershaw before joining Kenny's band. Jim played a red Zumsteel in a few shows with Kenny, then switched to Mullen around 2006 and has been playing Mullen guitars ever since. He's doing a great job with the YouTube videos! And, it's great to see the steel back in Sammy's band!

Thanks Brett! I looked up his videos. Great stuff. Hopefully I get a chance to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to hearing him play some great steel.
