Free Strings
I received two messages from a Forum member in Asia,The first message appeared to be asking Me to help getting strings(E9) since there is nowhere to buy in His Country.
I replied saying that strings can be purchased from the Forum or else google "pedal steel strings"
His reply said that He hopes I can help He cannot afford to buy strings !!
I wonder if any other members have had the same request.

All Scottish steel players are very wealthy

I got the same message but replied that I don't sell strings!
Suggested Jagwire.
As it was through the forum I thought it was OK to reply.

No, I got this message a couple of weeks ago also.
I did not reply to his email, but sent a separate email to him (did not want to get infected).
I told him that I would be happy to ship him strings, no matter where he lives and that he could pay me up front.
Of course, I got no reply. hehe
And by the way, 99% of the product orders that I ship, regardless of what it is, are shipped within 48 hours whether I have the money in advance or not.
I sincerely trust our steel guitar community and when I am questioned about not getting a payment, here is my reply.
In the 30+ years I have been trying to help fellow steelers with Premium Product at a great price, I have only been bit once for $87. Found out later, the gent had passsed away.
I tell everyone that if you are going to get me, get me big, not for just a little steel guitar product.
Besides, if I get bit, that player will never be able to show his face or purchase though the forum advertising again.

Hey Bill, considering this is a thread about a potential ripoff “artist†and you have mentioned your own service policies, let me take the space to thank you sincerely for your long and continued service to so many within our community. Are you going to continue your accessories sales from Florida? Very best wishes.

In the link Donny Hinson posted look close at the steel players hat and shirt. He may get his strings from a Military PX, or a relative in the USA.
U.S. Navy hat and shirt says retired with a unit emblem.
