Who is the Steeler?

Post by Don Aycock »

Our local PBS station aired "The Highwaymen" tonight. It featured Willie, Waylon, Johnny, and Chris and was filmed in 1990. The credits sped by too fast for me to see the name of the steel player. It looked to me like he played a BMI.

Anyone know who that was?

Robby Turner. Your eyes are good. It was a BMI.

I saw the Highwaymen last week and I too was wondering who the Steel player was... yes the credits flew by awfully quick. Thanks for the info.

It's a recurring program on PBS stations. I've seen it probably a dozen times. It's been discussed here many times as well. That's probably where I first got the i.d. of the steel player.
