I've thought that before too. I love Curly's work. He was in a class of his own, in my opinion. I've tried for years to incorporate Chalker inspired work into my playing. Its helped me. I listened to Chalker recordings and really tried to copy his work, particularly when I first started learning. He was a fantastic musician.

Steel players?
There were a couple more players from this area, Lew Houston from Ozark, al, also mr. don helms from new Brockton, al. They all knew each other, but as they become more popular they went different directions....thanks jack....(I felt honored to have personally known all of them)
