Who is that steel man?

Post by Jack Turlington »

Me and a friend are trying to figure out who is playing steel with Bob Wills on a couple of You Tube videos. The videos are from the early '50s I think, and they are playing Ida Red in one video, and Deep Water in the other. The steel man has an unusual way of holding the bar. I've seen him before but can't remember who he is.
I bet someone out there can tell me who he is!

Most likely Bobby Koefer using an old flat bar in his left hand and just a thumbpick on his right hand.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response guys. I suspected it mite be Bobby. It was hard to tell for sure but I thought he was using only a thumb pick.
