I looked on Allmusic's site and there's no info on Charley. Nice playing on the song you posted.

Well Charley does live in Austin...so I'll ask him/or around. But it does sound like a Texas Steel player..ha..(not me though..ha); I know Nathan; he was my very first student...but don't think it's him...could be Marty Muse or if in Dallas area...maybe Junior Knight...my guess.

Thanks Ricky. Yesterday I sent Charley Crockett a FB message and today he responded that its Nathan Flemming so that confirms it. You have to be proud to have taught Nathan as he is awsome!

Nathan is currently the working-est steel player in the Austin area, and with good reason. The cat can flat PICK!

I occasionally get tossed a bone when Nathan gets double-booked and I realize I have to do more than a few hours of chops retrieval if I'm to not embarrass myself filling in for him.
