Ted Solesky update
I finally tracked down Ted's sister who said he had had a stroke and in the early stages of Dementia. She thought he was in a care facility in Montana. She also said he didn't associate with anyone anymore including her. She gets some info from his daughter from time to time about him.
I did ask her to let him know we all care and think about him.
That's about it.

Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night.

Ted is a real nice guy and a hell of a picker. Some examples from 2008:

Ted brought a couple of used but like new Taylor Guitars from me a few years back. I have wondered why he has not been on the forum. He used to post every so often. Sorry to hear of his illness. He was a fine Gentleman to do business with. May God Bless and Keep Him Well, J.R. Rose

Thanks again Dick...I'm also amazed how many from that band have passed away. Ted used to send me CD's of his playing but he had some weird "Pulls" and also played on a D9th. As you know he was originally from Mineral Wells Texas. Yes life is too short so enjoy each and every day

Mickey,They all left us years before they should have for either medical or addiction problems. Luckily Ted never was a drunk and didn't get into drugs like so many of my old musician friends have over the years.
I live in a small town about 45 minutes from Mineral Wells TX and I would go see Ted from time to time. He showed me his copedent and it wasn't something any of us would sit down to and play on the fly. He also approached melodies differently than most of do. I think his biggest influence was Lloyd Green from what he told me. He also told me some 20 years ago to keep an eye on a new guy named Tommy White who he said was really making a name for himself. He wasn't wrong. With that said,Ted sounded like Ted and no one else which made him unique.
