Another Surgery

Post by Charley Hill »

Several people asked me to give an update of my recent back surgery. So far, it has been a success. Amidst all the soreness, I feel great. I can walk and get around.

I sat down at the steel after the first day of surgery with much success. I still have weakness in my right leg but optimistic that strength will return.

When I say that I appreciate all the phone calls and emails, I mean it!! The Steel Guitar community has been instrumental in helping me assimilate back into the real world and has been my resource of sanity (Of Sorts).....

I have "Dixie" that continues to provide much nurturing and plenty of care during this and other recuperations. She is a steadfast companion.

For those of you that don't know "Dixie", she is a West Highland Terrier. She makes it to several steel shows around the country.

Again, thanks to many of you who have texted, emailed or who have come by the cabin. It means the world to me and I truly appreciate it.

Now, prepping for Jeff Surratts Show in Sept and Bill Stafford's Show in Gulfport Mississippi in Nov......hope to see all of you there.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Hello Charley my friend;
So glad to hear the surgeries are working for you.

I know you have been in pain for some time now.
Hang in there, follow the Dr.'s orders & take life easy now.

Give Dixie a big ol' hug for me - she is a sweetie!!
My Best To You.

"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."

We need to turn the TWANG up a little

It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.

They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head :)

Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron
