Anyone Ever Record Back Up Tracks for Commander Cody Tunes?

Post by Rick Abbott »

I would love to have a CD of play-along tracks for stuff like Mama Hated Diesels, Down to Seeds and Stems Again Blues and so many others.

Has anyone done this? Should someone do this? Heck, I might do this...would anyone be interested?

Just play along with the album....and try to get all of Bobby Black's licks ! One of my favorite pickers.

Yeah, I figured there would be a few, especially the classics that they covered. I doubted there would be any for the actual CC&LPA songs.

They run through my head a lot. I might just get a few friends involved and record some semblance of their best hits...as I hear them...and look into the legality of selling a few. Guitar, bass, drums and keys or whatnot with the lead spots open for steel or tele.

Especially love "Carvin' Your Love" on the Trucker's Favorites album.

oops mistype Cravin' not Carvin'.
He get's a great horn section affect by pressing pedals 2 and 3 and walking full steps above and below the root.
